El Webopticon: Arquitectura of Control is a 10 foot by 24 foot mural that seeks to inform viewers of the emergence of the Webopticon—a system of surveillance that uses the world wide web to automate data collection and transmission information.  Installed in San Francisco at Galeria de la Raza as part of their Outdoor Digital Mural series, this digital mural (the second in a triptych) offers a visual collage of the icons of social control known as the Panopticon and new digital technologies.  Created by Los Cybrids: La Raza Techno-Critica (1999-2003: Praba Pilar, John Leaños, René Garcia).
