High Sweat Tech-Shop                                                            2001

Created as an outdoor performance intervention, High Sweat Tech-Shop was presented at the site of the historic “Lilli Ann”mural, by Chuy Campusano in San Francisco. The mural had been whitewashed by the new building owner without the artist’s consent and the building had become Dot-Com office space displacing low-income manufacturing jobs.   This guerilla performance used large-scale outdoor video projections, performance and audience participation skits to explore the influence of the tech-craze.  Los Cybrids: La Raza Techno-Critica (1999-2003: Praba Pilar, John Leaños, René Garcia).
